After a successful launching in March 2005 Lemonfish Art Gallery has opened its doors to the public. It was conceived as an income generating project for artists providing them with a forum to exhibit and sell their works.

The Gallery is based in Kartong, an unspoiled fishing village at the border to Casamance, Senegal. Idyllically located on a hill, surrounded by lush tropical nature and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, it provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of town life

Besides two spacious halls and a large veranda for exhibitions and events, Lemonfish also offers five comfortable guestrooms with modern bathroom facilities. Overnight stays include a local breakfast and friendly and competent staff look after guests.

There is the possibility to rent Lemonfish for conferences, meetings and special occasions. Rates and special arrangements on request.
